Listening to the Show

All you need to start listening to LactStation.net on your PC or Mac is an Internet connection (preferably broadband) and speakers or headphones (you don't have to have an iPod or MP3 player, although a portable MP3 player obviously gives you the freedom to listen to podcasts away from your computer).

Apple have recently added Podcast receiving capabilities right into the latest version of the iTunes software for Mac and Windows, so iTunes users can now subscribe directly to Lactstation.net. This is now probably the easiest way to receive podcasts. You can download iTunes free from Apple's web site.

Another way to receive podcasts, including LactStation.net, is to download and install one of the following specially pre-configured editions of the free iPodder dedicated podcast receiving software on your PC or Mac. These special editions of iPodder have already been set up to receive LactStation.net shows.

Windows
Windows 2000 or XP
Mac OS X
Mac OS X 10.3 or above

Each time you start iPodder, it automatically downloads the latest LactStation.net podcasts to your computer, where you can listen to them. If you have a portable media player (like an iPod), iPodder will synchronise it so that it is updated with the latest podcast.
