4th Aug - We've recorded the interview with Beverly Morgan again, as the audio quality was not the best. Look out for the new interview in the next few days!

five comments, already:

Sara, I think your podcast is wonderful! I am thrilled to have this great resource for my own encouragement and I can't wait to spread the news to all my pregnant and breastfeeding mommy friends. The interview with Beverly was so informative- I've been happily breastfeeding for 7 months and counting, and I find every day that I still have so much to learn. Thank you for putting yourself out there for all of us breastfeeding mommies.

Hi Jennifer, and thank you for your lovely email! I've been immersed in the world of breastfeeding for six years now, and I'm still finding out new things all the time. That's what is so wonderful about breastfeeding - it's a journey of discovery, and never, ever boring! Thank you so much for listening to the show and taking time to write.
Warmly,
Sara

Hello Sara,

I'm a recent subscriber to your podcast and I am so glad that I found
you! My son is rapidly approaching his first birthday (I type with a
tear in my eye) and I have lately found myself reconsidering my original
thoughts about weaning. I had always assumed I would breastfeed my
baby, but I also assumed it would only be for the first year. As this
deadline approaches, I realize how artificial it is! I have also heard
recently that there is a new influenza strain in Russia that some
scientists have warned may be the flu pandemic that they have been
fearing over the last few years. Even more reason to continue nursing,
since my son will be venturing out into the world more and more.

Your podcast has helped me start to solidify my belief that weaning
after only a year may not be appropriate for my son. I plan to proceed
slowly and use my baby (soon to be toddler!) as my guide.

Thank you thank you for this wonderful service that you are providing to
mothers everywhere!

PS: I also have to say that your lovely voice helps keep me company
while doing dreaded housework - like the dishes. :)

I have a 3 week old son, so I have only been breastfeeding for 3 weeks. I am SO GLAD I found your podcasts!!! Thank you for interviewing Beverly. I went to amazon.com immediately and ordered her audio books... what a wonderful format! They are so much like my mom reading breastfeeding books to me during my first days as a mom so recently. With all the information out there, your interview and podcast really encouraged me that I really do know best for my son. Thank you so much. I look forward to many more podcasts!

Hi Sarah,
I just wanted to send you some fan mail from Virginia. I've
enjoyed episodes 3 and 4 (have yet to listen to the first 2). My son
is almost 8 months old, and has been exclusively milk-fed, even though
I had to return to work after 2 months (we don't have very generous
maternity leave policies). I enjoy listening to your podcasts while I
pump at the office. I've become such a strong believer in
breastfeeding, and I enjoy listening to your discussions for more info
and support. I'd love to hear you discuss nursing and working, or
increasing milk supply, or how to continue nursing while
separated. Thanks for the podcasts! Hope you have better luck with
your phone equipment; I enjoy your interviews.
